2015
February 19 - Sped up calculations tremendously, especially for more than 10,000 cells on each side
February 21 - New tab user interface
February 21 - MAJOR UPGRADE: now users can compare entire lines, not just cell by cell. This has many advantages and is hard to replicate in Excel. Normally Reconciliation on Fire compares each cell individually. Now each cell is standardized so that numbers and any manipulation of their sign (+/-) is adjusted. Then text is standardized with upper/lower case adjustments. Finally, all dates are standardized. All of that information is then looked at on a row-by-row basis. Very useful. More to come.
February 22 - Moved notes into its own column so that exports back to Excel are cleaner.
February 25 - MAJOR UPGRADE now users can line up rows to see more easily visualize differences between the rows. For example, if both sides have account numbers, you can line up the accounts by number and then see the differences in values. So if you add accounts, they are easy to see and the other accounts will line up. There is no reasonable way to do the same in Excel, without custom programming. See these features on the tour.
February 26 - minor improvement to display of filters. It's a little cleaner. Now all filters are always visible, but the ones that are not available depending on the settings, are disabled. So if the comparison is set to text only, the numbers filters are disabled. If there is only one column on each side or the the number of columns on each side are not the same, then the row by row comparison is disabled.
February 28 - Beta version of summing non key columns and comparing the summed values. When it's done, it will be an incredible efficiency booster for users.
March 2 - updated filter dashboard screen to make more user friendly
April 1 - added deduplication
July 14 - so many improvements made in last 3 months. All of the above were improved.
August 26 - many improvements since July 14. Everything already developed has been improved. From the original engine to find differences to the most recent fuzzy features and the recipe system. Many appearance features were enhanced. There's still more to go on appearance, but it's still much cleaner. In general everything is faster and cleaner. BUT the really enormous improvement is the SETUP Wizard. See blog post.

January 4. Setup Wizard now enables deduplication (#4, #5) and simple reconciliations (#1). Users can now test results to find best solution.

July 14 - so many improvements made in last 3 months. All of the above were improved.
- Users can drag and drop 25 mb CSV's into the system and it loads extremely fast (data is not sent to server). All calculations are done in the browser.
- Data can be processed very quickly. 25 megabytes can be processed in less than 5 minutes.
- When data doesn't match, you can now do a Fuzzy match so that you can match Bills Grocery with Bill's Grocery, Inc. This is incredibly useful for setting up a new accounting or CRM system.
- Now there are Recipes. So users can set a range of functions with one recipe, thereby making it easier to set up data comparisons.
- Add filters to let users isolate key rows. Like a month. Or a category. Or a type of transaction.
- Allow iteration so that you can remove perfect matches to iterate to find the mismatches. (go to FAQ's to see more.. but a full blog post should be coming.)
